Reared on classical music study from middle school through graduate school, Anna is now actively involved in genres classical and beyond. Playing everything from standard orchestral and chamber music repertoire to experimental jazz, pop, rock, folk and performance art, Anna and her cello (affectionately named Fuller) are always working to expand their musical worlds and connect with new places, new people, and new sounds in the unique way that music allows us to. With a nod in the direction of her classical musical lineage Anna is a firm believer in the musical art of improvisation and has worked to make herself as comfortable “on the page” as she is off of it.

Performances have taken Anna and her cello to venues of all shapes and sizes across the United States, Europe, Russia, Brazil, and Asia. Anna has had the opportunity to perform live and record with many wonderful artists across many genres including hip-hop phenom, Eminem, Grammy award-winning band, Fun, Portugal. The Man, American singer/songwriter, Chris Garneau, and Spanish pop sensation David Bisbal, to name a few. She has appeared on television and radio programming in the United States, France, and South Korea.

Believing we are all collaborative by nature, Anna loves working with artists across disciplines. She can frequently be found working on collaborations with fellow creators from the worlds of theater, dance, and the visual arts. Her original cello compositions can be heard on the Emmy award winning documentary “Home,” by Irish filmmaker Allan Cooke. Other notable collaborative projects include the experimental duo My New Project; improvised visuals and looped cello with visual artist Shantell Martin; work with the band Arthur’s Landing; a collective of musicians dedicated to the performance and re-interpretation of the music of the late, great, Arthur Russell; vocal and cello work with the Brooklyn-based experimental band, Dirty Churches; recording and performance work with the collective All Hands Electric; and recently recording work with the queer alt/country band, My Gay Banjo.

Since relocating to Hawai'i in 2014, Anna has been inspired by the vibrant musical and cultural traditions of Hawai'i. She has been deeply honored to learn from and collaborate with many great Hawaiian musicians, artists and Kumu Hula. She is honored to have the opportunity to perform for some of Hawai'i's most celebrated events, such as the Merrie Monarch Festival and Lantern Floating Hawai'i.
